Got to Camber at about 4.30 and it was nuking. Rigged up and then Grawp arrived. Headed out on my 4.2 and the 85l k-bay. I'm not going to pretend I went out the back and rode the mast high monsters, but I had good fun on the inside getting to grips with the board (which is surprisingly easy to sail actually). I was totally maxed on the 4.2 and had a few very violent catapults. But also had some cracking rides with some small (very small) jumps which I managed to land without going through my sail. I reckon if I'd had the balls, I could probably have made it out a lot further (well, maybe!). But I think I'll save that for a day when it's a little less mental. At the top of the shingle bank towards the end a lad was getting 50mph gusts on his anemometer - and it felt like it!! Probably the windiest day I've ever seen at Camber!
